  1. Thanks Craig! I didn't know you could do masking in Final Cut. Thanks for the tip!

  2. That was both informative and humorous. Awesome job and thanks for the extra video.

  3. Thanks Craig. This gave me a complete new appreciation for the amount of work you put into your videos.

  4. I was going to watch your "Making of Popcorn Brain" video, but then there was an ad and it started saying "Nature is unique..." and then I was like, "BORING!" and closed the tab.

  5. Oh Wheezy Waiter, you so sexy with your video editings. Oh man, I can't take my eyes off of your editings.

  6. I hear your Milo. Ads about nature are BORING.

  7. Now I know your deepest secrets! It will be easier to Kill you now!

  8. Thanks Craig - I'd be curious to know how you are timing a dialog in a split screen. Like you talk, then how do you know how much to be silent while the other you replies...

    Thanks!
    Gabi

  9. Great tutorial, but how come you're never a girl anymore? I like how good you are at timing.

  10. I know how the split screen works, but what I'm wondering is how you time your conversations. They're always spot on and there never seem to be any jump cuts in either side. Care to show that some time?

  11. Can you do a tutorial on EXPLOSION WEDNESDAY? Please?

  12. "People enjoy pointing out flaws. Why don't I give them what they enjoy?" Brilliant. XD
Great video, as always. Very interesting. :D

  13. Thanks for that mate, now the truth of the clones is out... muuhahaha :)

  14. Thanks! That's also why I like watching the PoPS updates. Say hi to them all for me.

  15. Wheezy, I feel like you'd be a really good professor of something. I dunno of what, but certainly of something. You have one of those attention commanding voices. Which is probably why you are the lead singer of a really cool band. Great video, really helpful :)

  16. Could you tell us how you do the timing when you have a conversation with a clone. How do you set it up so that your chatting matches up properly without cutting away from the scene with you both in it?

  17. I have to say... you're adorable.
I like how you say you don't care about the continuity problems. I think you shouldn't. People are mean for making such a big deal about them.
And I also thought the doctor hand thing was funny. :)

I liked this it was interesting, and I've never edited anything in Final Cut ever. So I didn't even know what you were talking about. But it was fun.

  18. Craig, you're so cute when you're not being all funy and main video ish. <33 cuz ur still funny and its great :D

  19. I guessed that it was pretty easy to layer the different shots, but geez, punches are hard to pull off!

Besides, I don't have Final Cut, and just looking at the editing screen for that confuses me :\

  20. Thanks Craig!
Look forward to seeing more tutorials from ya!;D
    Love your videos!!!!!

  21. THIS IS BRILLIANT.
    YOU ARE BRILLIANT.
    BRILLIANCE IS BRILLIANT.
Thank you for working so hard Craig!

  22. Craig, what kind of editing programm do you use? Can you tell me its name? It looks good.
    Maike

  23. Craig, have you ever done another Making Of video? Because it's just awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  24. That really was entertaining, thanks for sharing.

  25. I think I've seen a different side to you. (: And it's nice, because as much as I love your humourous joking side, I've always wondered what you'd be like if you talked to us just like that. And. It was lovely. (: x
    It's a different professional side, I guess?

  26. Make more of making of!! It's awesome!

  27. This was fascinating. I love using FInal Cut, so I find it interesting to learn techniques from a youtuber whose videos I actually enjoy.
You should definitely make more of these, and some longer, slower ones with more detailed explanation of what you're doing would be nice.
I know that your actual video you were making here was about people's short attention spans and easy boredom, but I would actually love even if you made an hour long video of you editing something on fcp, like Hank did. It's really helpful, and interesting.
So, if you're ever in the mood to do that, know that I'll be here to watch. xD

also, like anonymous said, it is interesting seeing just a normal Craig, talking plainly to us. I'm dying to meet you, just to know what you're like when you're not a character. XD

    Thanks for being awesome.

    -Alex

  28. Hey Craig, I was wondering what program do you use to record the videos to your computer? And is it available for windows?

    ReplyDelete
  29. will you make a video about how you made this one?

    ReplyDelete
  30. thank you for this tutorial! This may solve an editing problem of my own when the boommic is in the shot. Yay Craig!

    ReplyDelete
  31. This is amazing- I love seeing how it all works!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hey thanks for the making of!
When you just talk like that I always have these uncanny moments when I feel like there are 1.5 square inches of our brains that must operate exactly identical lol. ("each oth-or"?)
Anyway ... I enjoy your videos and wish you best of luck with your projects!

  33. I enjoyed the 'behind the scenes' video very much. It would be 'xtra awesome if you did a screencast of the whole editing process. I'm looking forward to watch the video. Jon from JPizzle1122 did a screencast and also, Hank from vlogbrothers.
